Born Again by Faiez Hassan Seyal

“This which We recite unto you is a revelation and a wise reminder.” [Sūrah Āl `Imrān: 58].

Born Again

Born Again; 365 Days to a Healthy, Happy and Peaceful life is a book that takes only 15-30 minutes daily to make us organize our lives with the pattern  of this world and hereafter. Bird eye view of the book is as follows:

Month One: Clearing Few Myths

Whatever of good reaches you is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself. And We have sent you (O Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) as a Messenger to mankind, and Allah is sufficient as a Witness. (4:79)

Month two: Living Positively

That is so because Allah will never change a grace which He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in their own selves. And verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (8:53)

Month three: Knowing Yourself

It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah (35:28)

Month Four: Developing Yourself

O you who belief! When you are told to make rooms in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room. Allah will give you (ample) room (from His Mercy). And when you are told to rise up, rise up. Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is Well Acquainted with what you do. (58:11)

Month Five: Mastering Self

The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better than verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. (41:34)

Month Six: Take Care of Your Body

Verily, We created man in the best stature (mould). (95:4)

Month Seven: Positive work Habits

And it is He Who has made you generations coming after generations, replacing each other on the earth. And He has raised you in ranks, some above others that He may try you in which He has bestowed on you. Surely, your Lord is Swift in retribution, and certainly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (6:165)

Month Eight: Living with People

Worship Allah and join none with Him (in worship); and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor) the neighbor who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you need), the those (slaves) whom your right hand poses. Verily, Allah does not like such as are proud and boastful. (4:36)

Month Nine: Fostering Love Relationships

And among His Signs is that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect. (30:21)

Month Ten: Renewing Inner Self

That Allah may reward them according to the best of their deeds, and add even more for them out of His Grace. And Allah provides without measure to whom He wills. (24:38)

Month Eleven: Creating Abundance

By no means shall you attain Al-Birr (piety, righteousness-here it means Allah’s reward, i.e. Paradise), unless you spend (in Allah’s Cause) of that which you love; and whatever of good you spend, Allah knows it well. (3:92)

Month Twelve: Restoring Peace

Narrated Abu Huraira, Allah’s Messenger (may Peace be upon him)  said, “Allah says: ‘…If he remembers Me in a group of People  I remember him in a group that is better than them; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running’” (Bukhariy, Muslim)

Give yourself a 365 days challenge; afterwards see for yourself where your life was at the beginning and where it stands at the completion. May Allah be your guide, mentor and a friend on this journey. ameen
